What is a limited edition?

A limited edition is a finite set of artworks produced in an exact quantity determined by the artist. Once the edition is complete, it will never be reproduced again.

Each edition is:

  1. individually signed or numbered

  2. reviewed and approved by the artist

  3. accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity

Limited editions allow collectors to own museum-quality works at accessible prices, while ensuring lasting value for artists.

Framing & Customisation

How will my artwork be framed?

We offer a range of museum-grade framing options, including:

  1. UV acrylic or UV plexiglass

  2. Anti-reflective acrylic upgrades

  3. Archival, acid-free backing materials

  4. Custom colours and sizes

Specific options for each artwork will be listed on its page. All frames are hand-assembled and made to order.

Can I commission a customised size or artwork?

Yes.

Arty Y provides a bespoke commission service for collectors, interior designers, and homeowners.

We can tailor:

Authenticity & Copyright

How do I know my limited artwork is authentic?

Every artwork purchased through Arty Y comes with:

  1. a signed/stamped Certificate of Authenticity

  2. an edition number

  3. artist approval of the final piece

Do I own the copyright after purchasing a work?

No. The purchase includes the physical artwork only.

The artist retains all copyright and reproduction rights unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Shipping & Packaging

Where are artworks dispatched from?

Arty Y operates across Australia, Hong Kong, and Mainland China.

Depending on the artwork and artist location, your piece will be shipped from the nearest studio or production partner to reduce carbon footprint and shipping time.

How will my order be packaged?

We use custom art packaging designed to protect the work during global transit.

Each parcel includes:

  1. secure foam or reinforced casing

  2. corner protection

  3. Certificate of Authenticity

  4. customs documentation

  5. handling gloves (for select editions)

Framed prints may be shipped separately due to size and fragility.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes—we ship to most countries using trusted global carriers such as DHL, FedEx, TNT, and specialised art logistics providers.

Please note that international orders may incur customs duties or taxes depending on your local regulations.

How are goods declared for international orders?

We declare artworks accurately according to international customs requirements.

We cannot mark shipments as “gifts” or undervalue them.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping cost is calculated at checkout based on:

  1. destination country

  2. size & weight

  3. framing choices

Some artworks include free global shipping; this will be indicated on the product page.

Will I be charged duties or taxes?

This depends on your country.

Custom duties, VAT, GST, or import tax may apply and are the responsibility of the buyer.

We follow local regulations to ensure smooth entry.

Is my order insured during delivery?

Yes.

All artworks are fully insured based on their value until they arrive safely at your address.

Order & Dispatch Timeline

When will my order be shipped?

Estimated production and dispatch times are listed on each artwork page.

In general:

  1. Unframed prints: 2–4 weeks

  2. Framed works: 3–6 weeks

  3. Bespoke commissions: timelines vary by project

Once your order is confirmed, we’ll send regular email updates until delivery.

How long does shipping take?

Most international shipments arrive within 5–12 business days, depending on location.

Express options are available upon request.
