Ambiguous Space No. 43 is a representative abstract work by the Chinese contemporary artist Huang Saifeng, continuing his long-term exploration of “spatial perception.” The painting constructs a philosophically charged visual field through extremely restrained colors and minimalist geometric elements: a gradual transition of light gray and cyan-blue evokes a mist-like sense of space, while a central dark gray vertical line—like a door or a beam of light—blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination, conveying the core proposition that “space is not an objective existence, but is co-constructed by perception and memory.”
